I may be in a semi-lazy funk...
As the summer continues it look more and more like I'll be going another year without a full-time teaching job. The weird thing is I'm kind of ok with that. I've been thinking a lot about other career paths lately. I know that I want to stay in the education field but I've been considering searching for an out-of-classroom position. I think with my organizational skills and creativity I'd be good at creating after-school and outreach programs. The only problem is that I don't have any experience in that area. If I end up subbing for another year I think I'm going to dedicate some time to researching other job possibilities. For now I'm content with being at the Science Center and the Office for the summer.
In other news, Matt and I are officially a couple :-D We've been dating for over a month now and things are still going well. He took me out to a fancy dinner at Nine on Nine Wednesday night and it was fantastic. Conversation always seems so easy between the two of us. Still, there's a little part inside that's afraid I'll mess things up (as I always seem to do).
I leave for vacation on Sunday!!! I'm so excited for the beach. I haven't been there for a few years now. It'll be nice to lay on the sand and relax. Plus the shopping will be fun ;-)
