Today was a good day. Not a great day, not a sucky day, but a good day.
I woke up at 5:40 AM for some odd reason, and I couldn't go back to sleep. So I finished off the first in the Resident Evil novelization, "Zero Hour". Then, after much consideration, I went out and bought the game the novel is based on. Now I actually get to see the mutated monkeys, zombies made of leeches, and a huge white humanoid with a snarl for a face and claws the length of its arm. I may need to have all the lights on, all the windows open, and it be 12:00 noon before I put that game in the system.
After church (ugh ... church), I went back home and played some more video games ... just not Resident Evil. Then, as the clock ticked by, I realized the inevitability of me mowing the grass. So I started at 2:00 instead of waiting until 6:00 PM. I ended up finishing at 5:00 PM, thus saving at least 4 hours of video game time. After going to rent a movie for my mother, I popped in another game and started playing. Ah, what a life that would be, just playing video games all day long ...
At 7:00, the season finale for Survivor came on, and the right man won. Tom deserved to win that game from day one. But no one else, save for Mrs. Moore, watches Survivor, so I don't know why I'm putting it here. *shrugs*
While watching Survivor, I got up the nerve to pop in the Resident Evil game I bought. You start out in a broken down train ... and as I was walking slowly, a zombie jumped out in front of me and scared the living fucking shit out of me. I dropped the controller in fear, watching my character get mauled by the zombie. Finally realizing that the object of the game was to stay alive, I picked the controller up and blasted the zombie's head off with a handgun. I hobbled over to a save point, saved, and turned off the game. Now I'm going to have nightmares of zombies popping out of nowhere and chasing me.
Annie, sometime before you leave for college, we need to round up the troops and go to Barnes & Noble again. I want a damn frappucino. Plus I need to go buy more Resident Evil books.
After that random comment, back to my day. At about 9:30, I started to write my graduation speech. I turned on the yahoo radio, and I started to write. The whole speech, saving for a few minutes at the end, will be in third person, as if I'm telling a story. But, as I wrote, something random made me breakdown in tears. Somehow, the radio gods decided to play Kelly Clarkson's "Breakaway" while I was writing the speech. The lyrics, given the situation, started to make me cry. Expect references to the song in my speech.
I'm looking forward to tomorrow. I want to read my Resident Evil book, like Annie enjoys her twisted and "sezzy" manga. Except I won't be going around saying that zombies are hot. Plus we're doing a fun lab in Chemistry. Theron and I are going to make slime! Fun. See you tomorrow, bitches.
