He seems to be walking around the main camp area, taking in the environment and the people here. After a lot of thoughtful chin-touching, disapproving frowns, and genial shrugs, he walks right to the supply area, digs through it, and comes out with a tent which he sets up right at the center of the disarrayed campsite. When the inevitable group or individuals come to pester him and/or kick him out, he meets them at the entrance of his tent.]

I've been sent to locate a certain man, and when I noticed the magical spike in the village, stopped by to see what the ruckus was about. I'll be staying here for a time to ensure the Mage's obedience; it's dangerous to have such a being wandering about freely. After that I will go on my way or remain in your company as I see fit.
