Hmm. Seems there isn't aught of interest here. . .and yet. . .

[He places his hand over where his heart is, looking down at his breastplate.]

The Brand lead me here. . .there must be something of interest here.

[He looks around, taking in the scenery.]

If nothing else, tis a relaxing place and reminds me of home.

Are you looking for something, Mister Knight? [There's a blonde girl next to you after a moment. She looks... exceptionally unimposing.]

I haven't been in this area very long, but... maybe you'd like help?

[Tarkus looks down at the girl and smiles. Being called a knight? How flattering.]

I am not a knight, milady. At least, not yet. As for what I'm looking for. . .tis hard to say. There was something drawing me here. Pray, did you feel aught similar?

[Colette's eyes narrow slightly.] You felt it too, then? It's worrying me a little... My journey won't notice if I'm gone for a few days to make sure nothing happens here.

[Tarkus nods.]

Verily, I am searching for something. Something that shall let me test my mettle and allow me into the city of Anor Londo. I supposed there would be aught here, since I had that strange feeling, but so far there's is nary a thing here.

[Tarkus notices her expression and shrugs.]

Tis probably an unfounded worry. Though if anything ill were to happen, I'm certain we could overcome it together.

[He sounds slightly sarcastic, not taking much stock in the girls fighting ability. He notices the street performer in the distance, making boisterous claims about juggling.]

Perhaps we should seek some diversions in the meanwhile? Tis better than standing here idly.

[Quite a few things of interest, Tarkus! And one of them happened to be someone who looked to be a street performer, juggling various odds and ends for a small, flat fee... and practically challenging the various passerbys to present her with something she wouldn't be able to juggle.]

That's right... come one, come all! Be it ball or blade or man, there's nothing I can't juggle with these two hands!

[Renais considered it an easy way of having enough money to cover costs, especially because without actually being Avalon's empress she couldn't just send a bill to the treasury. Besides, she liked juggling a lot.]
