Yes, you read right... I made some "Queer as folk" icons... which I haven't done in YEARS... seriously... in YEARS... But I joined this community - pairing20in20 - and well... first I wanted to go for Brian/Michael, but this round was a "free round" - so "only" the fandom was choose-able... which might have been for the best... Well... my OTP of QaF has always been Brian/Michael and it will stay that way and I loved Ethan to pieces, since Fab filippo is just such an amazing actor... ;-) Justin/Ethan for the win :D

Probably not for the win, since I am a B/J shipper, but I never understood why so many fans hate Ethan so much, there's no reason for, IMO. I always liked him a lot.

I also liked the Brian/Michael friendship... at least for the first 4 seasons.

Yeah, Season 5 kinda sucked... definitely... I know... I didn'T like how everything fell apart and how Michael almost died and so on... so yeah... but I especially loved the strong bond of Michael and Brian in Season 1 and I always will love it...

I never liked Justin very much but in my eyes Ethan was good for him and he understood him in a way Brian never could... but that's just me of course! ;-)

Justin is my fave, so... of course I love him practically always (but ... man that boy could be annoying *LOL*).

It's complicated with QAF. So many different POV's. It's interesting, but complicated. Brian and Michael had a cool friendship, together they seemed to be forever young and that was kinda cool. They shared some really cute moments. But sometimes it seemed that they don't really know each other, especially Michael seemed to not really know and understand Brian (I admit it wasn't easy sometimes!).

And Season 1 is not my fave B/M Season. They were very disfunctional in that Season sometimes IMO.

Ethan... well, he was just a kid, a dreamer with high standards. I don't think that's something bad. Just because he made some mistakes he's not a bad guy and not a worse partner than Brian Kinney.

Well, you have a very different Point of View in there... for me it was brian/mikey that made me love this show so much and they could have been perfect for each other, and in MY eyes, they DID know each other very good and they DID know what's good for each other... like Brian knew David wasn't and in the end he REALLY wasn't... David was one of the many characters I literally hated and wanted to be gone... if Michael would have neded up with him for good, that would have been awful for me ( ... )

O there are some points we agree here. Like 2.12. I think it was about time that Michael realized that he and Brian don't have a romantic future, because I think - and IMO it was pretty clear during the show - that they wouldn't have fit as a couple. But their friendship was good, as I said, I liked it - until Season 5 ( ... )

We could never agree on that, but whatsoever ;-) I didn't like Justin very much... the only time I think I DID like him was when he was with Ethan... but other than that I found him pretty annoying most of the time, especially since he literally FORCED Brian to change. He wanted him to be someone he wasn't and didn't want to be... and in the end he left him, becaues of it... becaues he wasn't the man he fell in love with it... seriously? How's that right or fair? BRian was willing to change for Justin and when he did, it wasn't really right for Justin either... ;-)

Whatsoever... no one could ever make me like Justin... or David for that matter, they were my 2 characters I liked least... and then there are some "less important" Characters I didn't like either, like Chris Potter and Justin's dad, Brian's dad and so on, but from the main characters, Justin is veeeeeeery down on my list :P

Not really! And I haven't seen QaF in forever, so yeah... Like I wrote: I had to SEARCH for the episodes I wanted to use scenes from - something that wouldn't have happened years ago... but I still stick to my love for Brian/Michael and Queer as folk! ;-) I never read any B/J fic, though, but Brian/Mikey, yes... ;-) And I still like my username and would never change that, no matter how much I'm maybe "over" Queer as folk, but just yesterday, even the music made my heart race and I felt some "feelings" from back then again... ;-) Whenever I hear Proud I will think about Brian/Michael... that's just SO their song! :)

Yeah "Proud" was their song, so to say, I guess.
I feel the same about "Save the last dance for me" for B/J.

I read B/J ...of course, but I'm not so much into Anti-Michael stuff.

Well, most stories I read are not "Anti-Justin" but without Justin... some of them start after Season 5... where Justin is gone and Brian moves on, so...yeah... ;-)
