The Meadow
"Welcome to the house of the eternally damned." I looked up at Edward as he spoke.
"Do I smell any different?" I asked curiously
"Only a little bit, but that's because your blood is still in your body. It's changed a bit, so have you." he took my hand and pulled me in front of the mirrors.
I thouched my pale skin.
"How different do I look?"
"Just as beautiful as always." I would have blushed, but I no longer had that ability. I spun around to kiss him, but I knocked him over.
"Oops!" I landed on top of him.
"It's alright." he smiled.
"No, it's not. Did I hurt you?" I put my hand on his cheek. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine." his lips lightly brushed mine.
"Great, I'm glad to hear it." I smiled. "So, what now?"
He laughed. "Well, first things first." he kissed me, but with more force than he ever had before. His tongue traced over my bottom lip and the cut he had placed there. I opened my mouth, and my tounge danced with his. We pulled away.
"What was that for?"
"I know this may sound funny." he smiled, "but I have always wanted to do that, to know what it feels like to really kiss you. I've always had to be careful, but I don't have to anymore." he winked.
I stared at him disbelievingly. "That, was on your to-do list?"
"Yep." he rolled so that he was on top of me.
"I am liking this list. What's next?"
"Hunting." he replied. I felt my face light up.
"Where?"
"I don't know. Probobly just around our meadow. Not too far the first time."
"Alright." I smiled wider. He helped me up. "Shall we go?" my voice was sweet.
"Yes, we shall." he smiled with me and ran out of our room. I walked slowly after him. A second later he was back in the door. "C'mon, I know you can go faster than that."
"I can?"
"Run silly, fast."
"Okay." I wasn't sure what he ment, and then I remembered. I was fast. "Oh yeah!" he laughed and smiled. I started to jog, then sped up. Suddenly I was outside of the Cullen house. Edward was beside me.
"Cool huh?"
"Yeah." I was still amazed at my abilities. I held my breath and waited to run out of oxygen. I didn't. I exhaled. "Really cool."
"So, do you want to try a mountain lion?" he chuckled.
"Yes please." I said innocently. He grabbed my hand and we both began to run. It was almost as if my feet weren't touching the ground. It was amazing. We were at our meadow in a matter of minutes. "It's even better when you are the one running!"
"Is it?" he grinned. "I've never not been the one running."
"You want a ride back?" I asked.
"Sure." he laughed and sat down in the grass. I sat next to him and put my head on his shoulder. He pulled me into his lap and lay down on the ground.
"This is nice." I whispered as I lay down on top of him.
"I thought we were hunting." he said sarcastically. I smiled and lifted my head so that I could see his beautiful face. "But this is nice anyway." I put my head back on his chest.
"Your right." he sighed.
"Tell me something Edward." I said suddenly.
"Anything." he sounded concerned.
"Why did you want to keep me from becoming a vampire, but now you just keep showing me how wonderful it is?"
"Oh, well, now that you're a monster, there is rally no point in keeping anything from you, like what you can do."
"That's all I needed to know. So, hunting?"
"Hunting."

"I know this may sound funny." he smiled, "but I have always wanted to do that, to know what it feels like to really kiss you. I've always had to be careful, but I don't have to anymore." he winked.
I stared at him disbelievingly. "That, was on your to-do list?"
"Yep." he rolled so that he was on top of me.

"Where?"
"I don't know. Probobly just around our meadow. Not too far the first time."

"Tell me something Edward." I said suddenly.
