I sent the obligatory thank you note to the woman I dealt with in the Google office. Standard practice, expected no reply. Not only did she reply, but thanked me for coming to talk to Google, told me how impressed she was by me, and used three exclamation points in the body of her note. Ended it with "Recruiting will CERTAINLY be in touch with you!" So, we'll see.
In the meantime, the new job is interesting. People are cool, if a little wacky, but I worry that it is going to be very dull work. Already seems like a lot of over-meeting and drawn out processes... but hey, I am at least talking about something other than bleach all day. :)
