im coming home
im leaving for america tomorrow! it went by really fast, surprisingly. im excited but its going to be weird not being here. i had a very fun last weekend. on friday we went to the market and shopped. i got 2 adorable wooden giraffes and a whole bunch of beads. they had some really cool stuff. we werent mobbed and harrassed by salesman at every turn like i thought we'd be. the only thing is, they dont understand the idea of "just browsing" here. if you so much as look at something longer than a second theyre like "name your price" and someone else is like "sista, sista, come and look at my shop." friday night my dad and i went to dinner with a bunch of embassy ppl. the restaraunt was neat. it had a lot of cool art i think lauren and linds would like. they also had a singer and a band. the singer looked like a cartoon character. he was really tiny and thin and had a long face and wore this 1940's hat. he sang frank sinatra and old stuff like that and he would dance around. lauren, he was definitely your kind of guy, i could totally imagine you two hitting it off for some reason. maybe it was the way he danced. haha. so the evening was really fun. saturday we had a bbq. it was nice, it reminded me of being at our old MI house. we had some embassy ppl and a british family come. the british ppl had a 4 year old girl who was funny cause she would say things like "we must always wash our hands, musnt we" with the accent. its just amusing to hear a little kid sound so proper. the food was really good and i had a good time. i just lazed about sunday. it was a nice last weekend. todays my last day at work and its almost over. yea! im not too excited about the plane ride though. waaaaay too long. ok thats it, see you guys soon. jennie, let me know about all american rejects if you read this, or if anyone sees her, give her the message for me please.
