I haven't really been good about keeping up on my e-mail of late. I wanted to thank everyone for the flurry of the congratulations on the impending child.
I know that I'm in trouble when I want to reply to Caldwell messages on the SOBER virus, except the messages all were out 3 weeks ago. While it is even now still tempting to throw out the "I use Linux! Naa-na-naa-na-naa-naa!" I realize that the humor in it would likely be lost. Then again, when has that ever stopped me?
By the same token, I thought that Eccentrica Gallumbits's XP box was 0wnd last weekend due to weird network activity. I spent 4 hours beating on the thing to stop it from acting oddly, only to discover that my wireless router needed a kick in the virtual pants. That more or less shot Saturday down the tubes.
iccubis's Dell screwed the pooch (dead power supply, methinks) a few days ago in response to a divine plea for motivation to clean the room and get a few household tasks done. It's a lot easier to find the time to do things if he isn't playing Dark Age of Crackalot.
I went to trivia last night for the first time in maybe 2 months. 'Twas amusing. We almost won. It came down to whether the executive order to create Memorial Day as we now it occurred before or after Nixon was sworn in. I thought it happened under Johnson. I was wrong, it was Nixon. On the other hand, I'm not too sad about losing anymore. The free pitcher of Bud just isn't as motivating as Labbatt's. Actually, I just drank soda and water all night.
Over the past 2 days, I've ridden my bicycle from Albany to Schenectady and back, then to Watervliet and back. Today I went to Troy, Lansingburgh, Cohoes, Latham, and back. That's close to 100 miles altogether. My butt hurts.
So, I'll write again in a few weeks. B'Bye.
