Tradeoffs

Not too long after writing my smug blog about how much fun Jason and I were going to have yesterday, I found out that he got called into work. That's right, Jason had to work on Valentine's Day night even though we had plans. I alternated between being royally pissed and being really sad; but for the most part I was just upset that Jason and I weren't going to be able to spend some romantic time together. So...he went to work and I went and tanned and then had Caramel ice cream for dinner. No, that's not a joke. I really did have ice cream for dinner. Then, after eating my ice cream I took a long hot bath and relaxed while reading a silly girly book. Gideon was my Valentine which is actually just fine. Now here is where the tradeoff comes in. Since Jason had to ditch our plans and go to work, he demanded that his boss give him Saturday off instead of yesterday. This works out very well because now he gets to come with me to Phoenix instead! YEA! I am very happy because I get him for the entire weekend instead of just one night. Life is good now which makes me feel a lot better about things. Life works out really well sometimes. I love it.
BTW-my sweet friend Sharon called me and checked on me last night because she knew I was sad. Love her!
