Corporate Drone
So here I am...I have become a corporate drone in the short time that I have worked in Corporate America. Here is it Friday and I am SO excited because for the next two days I don't have to go to work. I never understood why on Fridays the radio announcers always made such a big deal out of it being 5 O'Clock. Now, I understand. I am sitting here, staring at the clock wishing it was 5:30...
In other news, I just bought the cutest bag from a traveling saleswoman downstairs. Since I do work in Corporate America, every now and then vendors come into the lobby of the building I work in and sell stuff. I got a really cute fake Tod's bag that Jason and I are going to use on our honeymoon to Acapulco! It is very large and will hold all of our stuff we need for the flight...books, medicines, passports, etc. I am pretty excited about it because I have been wanting something like this for a while and instead of spending a thousand dollars on it I got it for fifty. Pretty proud of myself, thats for sure.
Anyway, this day is going to get better because Jason and I are having dinner tonight with one of my favorite couples--Brian and Sharon. We are having Mexican food at Avila's, otherwise known as my favorite California restaurant. MMMMMMM. I can already taste it. Tomorrow I am meeting up with Sharon and Akane to paint pottery and then Sharon and I are going to trade coffee cups that we paint...We are silly, but I think its going to be cool.
After painting pottery and having lunch I am going to go get my nails done. I haven't had my nails done since late September and those of you who have known me for a long time know that I almost always have them done...but this was a way to save money. Anyway, I am getting them done because I am having my formal bridal portraits taken next weekend. I am very excited. On Sunday I am going to grocery shop (which I hate) and then reward myself for doing something I don't like by going to see The Wedding Date with Debra Messing and that guy from My Best Friend's Wedding..something Mulroney. I am doing all these things alone because Jason is working this weekend, but its ok because he will be home at night and we can hang out. He is also off on Valentine's Day! YIPEEEE!
Overall, feelin' good...ready to go home though...
