Going, going...GONE!

Here I am, sitting at work, getting SO excited about going to see my gals in Texas. I have barely been able to contain myself all day. I have seriously been acting like I am on crack, and as all my friends know, I have never done any type of drug except alcohol, so who knows...Anyhow, I have been so excited all day that I have completed like three days worth of work since 830 this morning, intermixed with checking LJ comments, checking email, chatting on IM, etc. Not only that, but today is my bosses b-day so we took him to lunch to celebrate, and had some cake/coffee/opening presents time as well. I have been like a busy little bee. Haven't worked this fast since first starting my dissertation proposal. Sigh. The good ole days. HEHEHEHEH. Anyway, tonight I leave California and off east, first stopping in Phoenix to change planes (thats what happens when you fly America West), and then its off to Houston! I arrive into Houston at 1:12 AM on Saturday morning. Dunia and Holly will be picking me up and I am sooooo excited about our drive back to College Station. I haven't seen my girls since August and I am dying for some time with them! In other good news, it looks like my best friend Amy is going to make it to the shower as well. Some wonderful luck with timing made it possible. She has been in Texas visiting for a while and is going to drive up to CS to visit. ;-) Something else good...Jason's mom is also coming to the shower! VERY EXCITED. Haven't seen her since August either and she is so sweet. I am lucky that she is such a wonderful person, thats for sure. Anyway...three words--GOING TO TEXAS!!!!!!!!!!!
