The end of an era...

For the first time in my life, neigh the first time I've ever heard of, I've been present for a campaign gone truly bad. The entire party was completely and utterly wiped out down to the last NPC. (Funnily enough the PC's all outlasted the NPC's) I have to say it was probably my second most memorable character death (the first being my one and only disintegration in Pat Quinn's game). My character was surrounded by nine creatures with four attacks each. I occupied nearly half the creatures attacking us. It took 450 attacks to bring my character down and he was the next to last to fall. It was one hell of a fight, but in the end they overwhelmed us. We would have fared better against them but they had spell resistance 21 and half our party used magical abilities.
Ah, well... We're starting a Star Wars campaign set in the old republic to replace it.

In real world news I'm still living at home. I'm going to start work on my masters this fall if the college ever gets their butts in gear to process me. Unfortunately I'll still be at home taking classes at SIUE. *sigh* Wish I were living near/hanging out with you guys.
