Ringo Starr has cut his 2024 autumn US tour short due to illness.
The former Beatles drummer was scheduled to perform at TD Pavilion at The Mann in Philadelphia on Tuesday (September 24) and Wednesday (25) at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. “Ringo has come down with a cold and after consulting a doctor he was advised to cancel these two remaining shows and get rest,” a representative for the musician shared online.
Ticket holders will be notified of the cancellation via email and will be refunded at their point of purchase.
“As always, Ringo and the All Starrs send peace and love to their fans and hope to see them soon,” a post on social media concluded.
The Beatles star and his band embarked on their latest tour on September 7 in San Diego, performing a total of 10 shows before falling ill.
Just under a week ago, the artist shared a post of highlights from the tour to social media, writing: “Just want to thank all the great audiences so far - I love you all. Peace & love from Ringo and the boys.”
