Ah.... Dictatorship...

I just love my country.

An enormous health awareness programme is underway, citizens are encouraged to report friends, family members or co-workers who seem depressed to the government for "counselling", prime real estate is devoted to wind farms and solar energy generators, and teenagers are sent to jail for being out too late. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force.

Sure, its probably the harshest "You do what you're told!" system - but with public cameras and all sorts of things flying around it feels like 1987 in my little country. BB is always watching. 2 Issues bought forward today:

"Where There's A Will There's A Tax"
Option 3 - A ceiling will be placed on the amount of inheritance one can recieve from their parents. The rest will go to the government...

"Give us money!" Quoth the Poet
Option 2 - Abolish any specialised subsidising for specialist groups such as this so that they must make it on their own.

Ok well first with Inheritance Taxes. I guess really it does drive you up the wall when you see someone like Paris Hilton just having life way too easy and not learning how to actually live a little. Not only that, but I'm fully aware that this means that elderly will be more likely to spend thier money so as to enjoy their life. This puts money back in the economy and it also ensures that they live a good, happy life. They could have more kids so as to spread more love to make it below the system - another plus for the economy. I don't know, I don't see why it would be such a bad thing - except I know socialists will probably be up in arms, but atleast this makes sure that society is furthered through people actually being smart - not just sons and daughters of smart people thinking they are because their bank balance says so...

And the "Give us money!" thing - gimme a break! Ok, so I'm all for a few scholarships here and there to genuinely talented students who will now have a chance to make it big. This whole "Think Outside the Square" thing works only if the general populace can identify with it in the first place. Most of you know I'm not the biggest fan of artistry as a whole - but I wouldn't stamp it out (God, we'd be bored if we did...) -- but as to giving money to B-Grade uni students who come out with an arts degree and start writing - excuse my French - crap, call themselves heroes and nobody else listens to them is a complete waste of money and I won't see if happen in my country. The usual arts student line "Its modern art, maann!" doesn't gel with me.

That about brings it up to speed. Seems that a lot of people are taking part in this game now. Perhaps we should consider making a Region just for us? We'd have to make a password for the Region and that sort of thing. So we know - here's the info you'd need to start up a region...

Name?
World Factbook Entry [Pretty sure thats just what appears if someone goes looking for us]
Can UN Delegate access Regional Control?
Password...

If you guys want to make a few suggestions - I'll put the region in place and then we can start ruling the world! :o)

Anyway, I better get off to study. Laters!
