how does $23 million make up for what happened? and how can it "be for the children" as the father said? pretty ridiculous. i honestly think the pressure on physicians to NEVER make mistakes is out of hand. people don't sue teachers for millions if they incorrectly grade a test.

Did you see that the doctor was basically an expert on the syndrome that he did not diagnose? I first thought "how ridiculous" but then after reading it all tend to side with the family. I know it is probably sensational journalism but I tend to think that errors of this magnitude do require some sort of compensation.
