Back in Canada

Well, it's obviously been a while since I've written last, and I'm now happily ensconced in Kingston. My flat is unpacked and sorted and looks great (well, I still need pushpins to put up more art, but it's coming!) It's lovely with lots of nooks and crannies, very much my garret attic where I starve as an academic :)

The reading load is crazy, but I'm dealing with it so that's good and the classes (all but one) are quite fun.

Kingston is really really gorgeous right now, so if anyone is in the neighbourhood feel free to drop by. I do have a sofa/bed so visitors are welcome.

I miss Japan, my school, my students, my friends and the food, but I love being back in Canada. And it's great to be this close to Toronto. In many ways I'm noticing very different things here just because it's a new city, but sometimes because it's something so different from Japan. People here speak french!!! I mean just randomly walking down the street!

Okay, that's it from me for now. Talk to you all soon.
