La-la-la-la

It's the Daddy's first singing competition. Mum is out of town for the weekend with my grandmother.

He's been tuning his voice for the past couple of weeks, practising the song he's to sing for the qualifying round. Today, he'd been practising for an hour after lunch. I had to stop him singing for fear he would wear his voice out before the competition.

Just a while ago, he took out the shirt he was planning to wear tonight, only to find that it's got mould spots all over. Shows how often he wears long-sleeved shirts. Thankfully, he's managed to fish out another similar shirt. I've just ironed it for him because he complained that it's a little too wrinkly. We've also had to figure out which of his trousers this shirt would go with.

Later, I've to freshen up and get ready to go the the karaoke place with him. Also got to make sure my camera has fully charged batteries. Although he didn't say so, I'm sure he wants a photo for keepsake.

He says he's not nervous, but I bet he is. At times like this, I'm reminded of the comic strip "Bringing Up Dad" (think I remembered the name correctly).
