I did it
Hullo, Lonely Blog! *waves* *blows the dust off of everything*
The past few weeks have been stupid at work and I haven't had much time to myself that wasn't spent staring at hockey (omg, this year's Leafs are sooooooo fun to watch, even if they aren't winning). But now I'm back(ish)! And because I felt such a sense of accomplishment when I made a piece of CM fan art for Deejaymil recently, and I MISS making fan art for Criminal Minds, I've decided to sign up for a CM Big Bang over on Ao3. And get this: I signed up to do both writing and art. How insane is that?!? I'm hoping for the best even if this decision suggests that I might have suffered some sort of mental break.
Other things have happened. Miss S turned one last weekend and there was a party with balloons, gifts, and much smearing of pink frosting everywhere. Just glorious ;) Halloween happened with less fanfare than expected. The weatherman has predicted a colder and snowier winter than normal (which makes me really happy). And I got a small raise at work which was more amusing than beneficial. The first opera of the season happened (Handel's Ariodante) and it was lovely, if a bit long. This weekend will be Norma and it should be awesome.
And in fannish stuff, I've fallen into a Conviction hole and can't get out. It's mostly because of Hayley Atwell I'm sure, because I'm still mourning the loss of Agent Carter, but her character, Hayes Morrison, really clicks with me for some reason. Beyond that, the show is a by-the-book procedural and nothing special. Oh, FanBrain, WHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYY?
