Yesterday was beautiful here. It wasn't as warm as Monday was (25C), but it was sunny and pleasant. This means that some Torontonians who believe that winter is some sort of unjustified penance take advantage of the first few warm spring days to do stupid, unseemly shit. Like wearing shorts when it's 12C out and pretending like they aren't shivering, or laying in Trinity-Bellwoods park in a THONG because they need to get a head start on their summer tan, or the gaggle of people who break out the socks-and-sandals (like that isn't a mistake EVERY YEAR REGARDLESS OF THE WEATHER).
So, I was out and about running some errands and visiting Moog Audio to pick up MB's birthday present, when I ran into Spiderman on a long board. Seriously. A guy, skating down Queen West in a full-on Spiderman costume. People in cars kept slowing down and yelling "Hey, Spidey, how ya doin'?" to which he answered that he was doing great thankyouverymuch. Anyway, unlike the thong+socks-and-sandals crowd, Queen Street Spidey was a welcome breath of springtime insanity. When I got back home and told MB about my brush with a friendly mutant, he didn't believe me, so I had to Google him. Apparently, he's sorta infamous around town...
THIS is the guy!
