February Challenge: Things I Love - Day 4 & 5

Feb 05, 2016 16:30

I missed yesterday. I mean, I sat down to do some work and fully intended to post later, and the next thing I knew it was 11pm and I was in bed thinking "Damn! I forgot to post..." Yes, I think about these things in bed. Moving on...

Anyway, so yesterday's love would've been COFFEE! Honestly, I cannot handle real life without it. It's my fuel, my compentancy potion, my adult costume, and my bullshit shield. I love it fancy or plain, good quality or bad, hot or cold, anytime, anywhere. I love the way the Turks, Indians, South Americans, North Americans, Africans, and Southeast Asians all make it differently - and it's all delicious. I love it when it's used as a flavor in baking or ice cream, and I love it as an excuse to sit with someone and talk. If the world suddenly ran out of it, I'd have nothing left to live for but bacon and olives.

Now, today's love is ORGANIZATION! Wait... what, you say? Yep, I love organized things. Sometimes they are in eclectic bunches and sometimes in straight, linear order - I really love it. It brings order to my increasingly crazed existence and it soothes me at the same time. I'm not nuts about it - I won't invite myself over to your place to reorganize your closets or anything, but knowing that I can find stuff because it lives in a proper and sensible location previously determined by me leads to a lot less stress in my life (and a lot less missing things). One of my favorite artful organizers is Wes Anderson. Not only is he fond of symmetry, which is scientifically proven to relax you, but he even organizes COLOURS and that is both smart and beautiful.

See? Doesn't that make you feel better?

wait...what?, coffee, meme, movies, pictures, the element of awesomite, benevolent blythe of hawtness, fabulousity, your shit is crazy
