January was BEASTLY. Just awful... I'm trying to scrub it from my mind, really... So,
draycevixen's challenge to post about something you love EVERY DAY IN FEBRUARY seemed like a nice and worthwhile antidote to all of that. Also, I need to get back into the flow of things here - I've fallen behind on so much.
It should be taken for granted that my 'loves' list will be fannish/frivolous/fun because it's obvious that I love my husband, dog, family, all my lj peeps etc. (although they may make an appearance if I have a lazy posting day). Also, this list will not be by order of importance 'cause that could take forever to collate.
Onwards to today's love:
The late French illustrator
Jean Giraud, a.k.a. Moebius. He was one of my first artistic influences in my early teens and I've always wanted to draw like him. I love his use of color, his deceptively simple linework, his surrealism, his variety and sense of whimsy, and he also did ALL KINDS of illustration (including some fairly impressive/disturbing smut). He's one of my top 5 artistic heroes.
