me neither, I just broke down crying yesterday after finding an old madlibs style letter from my mom that she sent me in college. All it took was seeing her handwriting, I didn't even read it.
I found old photos in that box too. Pictures of my first love, my grandparents (now all dead), friends who were my life line in my 20s... Yep, I teared up something awful.
My colleague, who is of a very, very practical nature responded to a similar comment from another colleague recently by saying she'd scanned all that stuff back when she'd moved from New Zealand to England many years ago and got rid of the physical letters.
For me, that just doesn't compute as being the same thing.
I'm so sorry. :( I went through the same sadness last week when I decided to look through some old cards and letters that had been left behind in Connecticut when I moved. Gutted. Why do awesome people have to die? It sucks.
