Brighton has always gone its own way. *g*

It's one of the great art/eccentricity centres of the UK, with beautiful art deco buildings and an easy train ride to London.

Snopes confirms it's a hoax, but a really well done one. It doesn't surprise me that the Brighton natives are taking it so well.
