I'm eager to hear your take on Beasts of the Southern Wild!

I see so few movies, mostly I watch Bollywood on planes. You might like one called English-Vinglish, if you get a chance, though I found it equally lovable and infuriating. It sums up so much of what's wrong with women's place in Indian culture. It's a comedy :)

I haven't watched much any Bollywood movies, and I feel like I'm missing out on a significant cultural signpost. So, I need to rectify that.

Sounds like English-Vinglish is a good place to start. :)

They are always quite a bit longer than an American movie, but there's also usually a place where "Intermission" is! I amuse myself by mentally condensing scenes.

This one is my favorite ever :) (Trailer - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QB2fZsBZGYs&noredirect=1) I think the first thirty minutes of the movie is one of the most beautiful sequences ever filmed.
