I've been voted off LJ Idol. Not a big deal, but a little disappointing since I was one week away from making the Top 100, which was my ultimate goal in the competition. Oh, well. There's some really great writers in the competition still, and I wish them all the best of luck.
I had a feeling I was going to be voted off soon anyway, as I wasn't putting as much effort into participation. The last two Fay entries were thrown in literally at the last minute, and I was too overwhelmed the last week to make much effort to read everyone else's entries (which always seemed to contribute to my being able to pull through when it was a close call). But honestly, I'm a little bit relieved, because it's a lot of work to put in, even if it is quite fun.
Anyway, they have the home game going on (a way to link entries without being in the actual competition), so I'll do that as much as possible, so as to not loose momentum on the ongoing Fay Fairburn storyline. I still want to see if I can pull it off, and the weekly prompts help keep me thinking creatively, allowing me to push the boundaries of what I can come up with. And if I can get a potential novel out of this, then why the heck not.
