Monday Update

My sister has convinced me that I should train with her for a half marathon (around 13 miles) -- the main attraction is that the event is being held in Disneyland, September 2010. However, I don't remember the last time I've run a mile (or if I've ever run a mile). This is going to be quite a challenge for me, but I'm feeling optimistic about the whole thing. I've figured out that if I can increase my running by one lap each week, then I would be running 13 miles. Of course, the actually training plan will be a little more complicated than that, but it feels really possible to me. As a start to this, I've been walking at an incline on the hills around my house (we'll be starting the actual training program when her foot heals).

I have this odd belief though that meeting my physical and health goals means that I won't have time to meet my creativity goals. Ridiculous, I know, but it's there. I guess, that's just one of the mental blocks that I will have to overcome as I progress through this marathon training and continue to work on my creative outlets.

Goals for this week:
-- do my 3-4 marathon training days
-- compile zombie site info
-- create logo
-- prepare and post zombie info pages
-- post new youtube video
-- get animation art pages done
-- do a sketch or two
-- continue writing the Cassandra short story (create new outline)
-- prepare and send out a poetry submission
-- do morning exercises (0/7 days completed)
-- no erroneous channel flipping or video games during the work week mostly
