Sort of an up and down weekend here. Dragged myself to Capoeira yesterday. Managed to fall over twice, once on my chin. Granted, the fall to my chin wasn't far, but it WAS a little embarrassing. People in the class are really nice and very patient though, so I suppose I felt less uncomfortable about such blunders than I might have. Played in the circle twice, which means my courage is making progress.
Finished "Woza Albert" yesterday and wrote another placement inquiry, so that was good. "Woza Albert" was . . . strange and kind of painful. It was based around speculations about what might happen if Christ returned, but in South Africa during apartheid. Though really choppy with its structure, it did a good job of cutting down to the humiliation and degradation and plain despair of that place at that time.
Today was work and, uh, multiple episodes of "The L Word". I'm just a little addicted.
