Rambling Notes

Well, I finished the play. It turned out not to actually be very long. The introduction and interview with the author, though, were rather lengthy.

Usually I'm more enthusiastic about anything to do with theatre, but I'm finding it very hard to focus at the moment. Other areas of life are just currently more interesting and absorbing. And really nice.

On a productive note, I bought tickets for Manchester, so I can go see Helen later in March. I also went to my third Amnesty International meeting and am going to try and bully myself over to the Norwich chapter one tomorrow evening since they'll be talking about Guantanamo Bay.

On a contrary note, my reading demon has suddenly decided it wants to read poetry. Now I've always loved poetry, but I should really be reading "Midnight's Children" or "Long Walk to Freedom" because they're relevant to my course. Foolishly I went and got two poetry books out of the uni library today. However, this was less foolish than my first impulse, which was to buy a book of poetry. I'm slowly getting better at going into a bookshop and leaving without buying anything. I don't like it, but it's a financially necessary skill for me to develop. ( :

I think I've hit enough boring notes for the night. Happy v-day (if you don't like the lovey-dovey one, then take advantage of supporting the political one that fights violence against women). Night all.
