i went to see the DESCENT lastnight.... GAWD it was sooo scurry.
even worse it was all foggy when i drove back home.
so these mutated beings that have adapted in the caverns, to the constant dark, use echo-location -like bats- and you know what? It has been done, in fact - i saw a special on PBS about extra-sensory. and it featured two deiffent blind males - who both use echo-location to get around without a cane or seeing-eye-dog. They could tell the show host roughly the dimensions and consistency of any obstacle ahead, without touching it or memerizing it.
so the weird clicking noises wasn't what made the crawlers especially scary - their skin was actually what got to me. It was the skin of someone who's been drowned and pickled for a year in bleach. blech.
anyways - the movie was surprisingly good, not a disappointment like the OMEN. a perfect amount of external gore and internal struggle. i'd give it 3 stars, maybe 2 and a half.
