hmph. my excitement for oxford somewhat diminished by a crappy mark on my presentation from last week. boo.
man, i didn't think it went that badly. i passed but still, the comments from my prof weren't very good. she thought that the point of having the class do the scavenger hunt wasn't clear...I guess it might be true. It was very clear in my head, but I was a little flustered during class and I might not have explained the purpose well (the purpose was to get feedback on the type of questions my scavenger hunt should include.)
she also thought that since my program changed so much from the proposal, I should have went in to talk with her, and given the class a handout to explain the changes so it was clearer. yeah i probably could have done that. I'd convinced myself by that point that my changes weren't so far off from the original plan. in my defense though, when I went to see her about the reference letter, I did bring up the changes I was going to make to my program. I intended to discuss them with her then, but when I mentioned it she was kind of like 'yeah, that sounds fine' and it seemed like she was rushed to get somewhere.
disappointing. aw man! this essay better be kickass then. still far from finished though, and its due tomorrrow at midnight. yowza. must needs watch glee!
