got my hair did today - i got side bangs! Kind of. They are very long sidebangs, I can almost put them behind my ear. Its not that big of a change but I'm still on the fence. I need to get all the hair salon product out of my hair and attempt to make them look nice myself before I can decide on them.
Oh, my stylist wasn't a guy after all. Her name was Angie, but I heard Andrew over the phone. She was really nice though. They called her a 'junior stylist', but she definitely knew her stuff and was very professional. I wonder what the 'senior stylist' is like? I just chose to go with the junior because it was cheaper, but I was a little worried that she would be really green. Not a problem.
Also, I would definitely recommend Maison Fritz salon (in the new Indigo plaza) - they were pretty awesome. The ladies working there were all very nice without being ditzy or judgmental (which is the impression I get from some other salons - mainly Kel and Bri's), they were all really good at what they do, it wasn't that expensive compared to other places I've been (especially with a 'junior' stylist), they actually made helpful suggestions for hair problems, and while I was waiting as my hair was processed one of the girls offered to give me a complimentary nail polish change (which included a free nail file). All in all, really good experience, I'll be going back. I actually wish I could have tipped Angie more - I paid with debit, but the debit thing doesn't offer the change to add a tip, and I didn't really have any cash.
