Canada, Tuesday afternoon through evening

Clad in his Mountie costume and standing outside a liquor store, GOB was ready to execute his plan. Fraser had given him enough details on how to rob a Canadian liquor store that this should be child's play. Add that to his intimate knowledge of how to distract people honed by his years in illusion and this plan was foolproof

"Sorry, you've what?" Fraser asked from his end. "What sort of mistake?"

"I'm in jail on some trumped up charges," GOB said. "Something about attempted robbery and impersonating an officer of the law."

Fraser frowned. "You...where are you?"

[bluth_illusions]

"Canada," GOB said. "I was holding onto a box of mice for a friend and dropped it. All of a sudden, I'm allegedly trying to rob a liquor store. Crazy country you have here."

"You tried to rob a liquor store in Canada?" Fraser said, shocked. "Are you insane?"

"Can I plead insanity in Canada?" GOB asked.

[just_add_starch]

"You'll have to prove that you are, indeed, insane," Fraser said. "Honestly, why would you even attempt such a thing in Canada of all places?"

[bluth_illusions]

"As part of my goal to understand the Canadian legal system so I can become a Mountie?" GOB tried.

[just_add_starch]

"Are you being serious or sarcastic?" Fraser asked. "It's really quite hard to discern."

[bluth_illusions]

"I'm in jail! How can I be anything but serious?" GOB asked.

The answer was "easily." He'd been a prisoner in three countries now. He was fairly used to it.

"Has some sort of bail been set?"

[bluth_illusions]

"Yeah," GOB said, mentioning the bail amount. "I have plenty on my boat. It's American cash which is, what, three times what Canadian cash is worth? It's in a box labeled 'Bail Money.'"

Fraser smacked his head. "This happens to you a lot, doesn't it?"

[bluth_illusions]

"I've only been arrested twice. Once in Iraq. I've been locked in prison another two times, but those were completely planned," GOB said. "But like the illusionist's motto goes, be prepared."

That was the Boy Scouts' motto.

"I'm sure they're treating you well up there so you'll have to stay there until I can come bail you out," Fraser said. "Unless you'd rather I let you try and break out of a Canadian prison."

"How hard is it to break out of Canadian prisons?" GOB asked.
