GOB wasn't happy. When you put that much time and effort and money into a Christmas gift during this season of giving and the person who you gave all of that to hasn't given you anything this long after Christmas, it causes anger. GOB dealt with this anger the only way he knew how. Besides drinking, although he was doing that in a casual way ( Read more... )

Becky, in her long coat buttoned up and cinched around her waist and carrying a small bag, strode onto the yacht. "Hiiii."

"Hi," GOB said. "Hold on. I have to write a nasty letter to Penn and Teller.

The letter read:

Dear Penn and Teller,

You suck.

"Why?"

It seemed like the natural question.

"Because," GOB said, taking a moment to fix the spelling of "anonimouse," "they suck. What do you want?"

"To give you your Christmas gifts," she said mildly.

GOB shoved his letters aside and smiled. "What took so long?" he asked happily.

"A thing," she said evasively, passing him the bag. "Merry Christmas."

GOB opened the lighter first. He didn't have much need for it, what with his flame rigging in some of his jacket sleeves, but coming from Becky it meant something. He had no clue what that something was.

Then he opened the flask set. "This is perfect," he said. He was being perfectly sincere. His liver was being sarcastic when it agreed with him, though. "Thanks."

"Oh, and this."

Becky handed him a key.

"This is the fifth key I've gotten this year," GOB said. "This isn't another handcuff key, is it?"

She smiled and shook her head. "No, it goes to this."

She pulled a small photograph from her pocket. "That was taken the other day at the Sin, but it's parked over there." Becky pointed vaguely towards the causeway.

"You got me a motorcycle?" GOB asked. Somewhere, deep down, past the part of him that was still experiencing a one-fifth life crisis, and ignoring the part of him that was dating a nineteen-year-old (he had been doing that kind of thing since he was fifteen), GOB's midlife crisis officially began.

He couldn't wait to try some tricks that he was completely unaware were insane, likely to kill him, and in some cases impossible by the laws of physics.

Becky nodded. "I've got a friend back home who got me one," she said.

"It's great," GOB said. He still thought his gift was better. "Thank you."

"You have one more present," she said, and pulled a Santa hat from one of her pockets and placed it on GOB's head.

"I have one of these," GOB said. "I have a whole suit, remember?"
