A jail cell in Orange County, Late-ish Friday evening
To say that the trial didn't go well was an understatement. To say that GOB ended up in jail for contempt of court would be completely accurate. GOB didn't understand what went wrong. He really thought the judge would understand where a fellow brother like Franklin was coming from.
The judge didn't understand.
Franklin then called the judge a series of names that shouldn't be mentioned here. GOB thought the judge wouldn't have a problem being called those things by a fellow brother like Franklin.
The judge did have a problem.
Fortunately for GOB's mother, Lucille Bluth, an incident where a puppet commits attempted assault on a judge, leading to the puppet's head being ripped off by a bailiff and thrown at the man who had previously been holding the puppet while the judge swears that the man and his entire family will pay for this travesty now counts as a mistrial in Orange County. Lucille now had another few months to prepare a GOBless defense.
GOB was still stuck in jail overnight, though. And so he used his one phone call to call a certain someone back in Fandom.
