Hm.

Tonight was the last night of Century's play, Guys and Dolls. I've been doing the hair and makeup for the girls in the play for 2 weeks now. Now, why was I crew for a play at a school I don't attend? I don't know; they requested me.

Last night, Andrea (main character: Adelaide) started to feel funny and was a little dizzy. I told her to sit down and rest, and started doing her hair. About halfway through, she said she was getting really sleepy, and her head kept flopping forwards a bit. Sometimes she wouldn't respond to things I said. Later in the evening, she went to walk to the other side of the room, and.. couldn't. She couldn't walk, much less sing and dance. She sat out for Act 1 and her understudy, Punki, took over as Adelaide. Which meant.. a replacement for Punki, and a replacement for the replacement. Which, again, meant another Hot Box hairstyle and 2 extras to style (less important). Anyway, more important, everyone was really worried about Andrea (and learning their new parts 15 minutes before show time)..
Act 2 rolled around and Andrea started preparing to take over her role. Only.. her mother was called, and since she wasn't getting any better, they decided to send her to the hospital. She was -bummed-. Buut.. her family and her boyfriend, Caleb (from my school) would be there for the Saturday show (today) and she wanted to recover to perform for them. Punki covered very well, although.. I really do think Andrea is amazing, no comparison. Oh! And Sam was out sick, with hives and what not, so there was a replacement for her, too.

Andrea did recover, and she was AWESOME. I'm a freak and get chills whenever I'm at a live performance and the singer is talented. And. I got chills when Andrea sang.  She couldn't do some of the dance moves (Yanagi, anyone?) but she stood and sang, and moved a little, and was just awesome. I'm so proud of her.

After today's performance.. it was like [tenimyu reference] the graduation bit, everyone hugging and saying last words.[/tenimyu reference] Annnd.. the cast party. Realizing it was the last time I'd ever see any of these dorks again was sort of depressing. Buut! At the cast party, I was presented a gift certificate and !!!invited to dramafest (competition) to do their hair and makeup on May 16th. Yay! I'll see everyone agaaaiin. <3

I think I'm going to get this. Isn't it hot?

In other news, I have been severely neglected the roleplay because of my tight schedule of sleepschooleatworksleep and I feel bad.
