Preparing for med school exams= Med school exams^-100
You know I should be doing other stuff even I dunno writing or something but all I wanna do is let my brain waste its time. Um yeah.
Also, I miss getting reviews :(.
So unpopular fandom opinions:
Clamp:
Oh so many, where do I start? Do I start with how CCS is full of Mary Sues or that its disgusting that Subaru loves Seishirou and that people think that it's all romantycal?
I don't have so much of a problem with CLAMP's stories as I do with the majority of the insufferable CLAMP fandom. I ship het the way the way many Harry/Draco fans like slashing every damn character they can find. Also, if you can slash two gay people then what's wrong with hetting two gay characters? If this does offend you, then I'm very sorry but Kirk/Spock, JD/Cox, Veronica/Mac, Patrick/Cho, Harry/Draco (although Draco is so very, very gay for Ron and vice versa in my mind) ... my point? The knife cuts both ways. And no, no, I don't want gay people to turn straight in real life because I don't really care how other people lead their lives as long as they don't condemn me for my lifestyle choices. But that's not my point ... not that I have one, of course. CLAMP fans will are generally assholes to people who aren't crazy about Touya/Yukito, Doumeki/Watanuki, Kurogane/Fai etc. I'm not saying all of them are like that but go to all the elitist CLAMP communities and if you don't come out wanting to smack a bitch, then I'm sorry my friend, but you aren't human. The jackasses of the CLAMP fandom will bitch about you being a homophone homophobe or how you're crazy if you don't like the general OTP. I wish I was kidding.
I like strange pairings like Seishirou/Kendappa and Souma/Kurogane. I joke about being oppreshuned by slash but at the end of the day, fandom is the place where I go to so I can get away from studying or where I don't have to worry about my family's numerous problems. So, yes, forgive if I complain about the fact there aren't any Yukito/Nakuru fics. I was going to do a Shylock kind of speech, going all 'Do we not want to read Touya/Kaho like you want to read mindless Touya/Yuktio porn? When we see shippy Touya/Kaho pictures, do our ovaries not burst open?
Buffy was one of my first fandoms and Veronica Mars was and is still is one of my favorite fandoms. The stuff I liked about the aforementioned fandoms was that you had a variety of fiction to read, whether it was genre or pairing.
So yeah ...
Also,
1)Fai and Kurogane do not have chemistry. The pairing feels contrived, unlike say Touya/Yukito which while I don't ship makes sense.
2)Yukito is blander in the show than he is in fanfiction. Go read one of Aishuu's stories and tell me that you don't think that he has more depth in fanfiction than he does as widdle snow bunny.
Disney:
Miley Cyrus cannot sing. At all. That is all.
Bollywood:
1) Aishwarya has more chemistry with Abhishek than she does with Hrithik. Screw all of you who say otherwise :P.
2) In Koffee with Karan, Sanjay Leela described the appeals of both Aishwarya and Rani. According to him while Rani is the girl next door, Ash has a star persona. I think Ash has acted well in like 5 or 6 3 or 4 good films in her entire career and I think it's ironic that the roles I liked her best in e.g. Raincoat and Guru, were roles where she had to play the role of an ordinary woman.
RPF:
1) Colin/Katie is waaaaay prettier than Colin/Bradley. Why aren't there are fics about these Irish beauties? Hee hee, I described as dude as a beauty. Homer like laugh: hee hee.
2) The only reason I ever took an interest in Twilight was because I thought Gaspard and Emily were hot. Oh wait, I was talking about opinions. Damn it.
Merlin:
1) Arthur/Gwen is more interesting than Arthur/Merlin. Erm yeah.
2) There is this scene in Merlin where Morgana is being dragged away and I thought that scene was badly written and badly acted.
3) Merlin/Lacelot is more interesting than Arthur/Merlin. Okay I just brought it on myself to be mocked. XD
Scrubs:
JD doesn't annoy me as much as he should because I'm like a far more fucked version of him.
CSI:
1) Gil/Catherine never had platonic chemistry. They seemed like so much more than friends. Unlike Gil/Sarah. ICK.
2) Warrick/Sara would have been so interesting and I think it sucks that they never explored it.
3) I wanted Grissom and Catherine be a couple before the show started if it makes any sense. It would have been interesting to see how two people who are committed to each other deal with working with each other.
Red Eye:
Okay, there were people I didn't like in the fandom and there were people who were overrated and who even I sucked up to once or twice. No children, I'm not bitter that I wasn't a BNF, I can point exactly what parts of my Red Eye fics were subpar. Okay, my opinions:
1) It sucked that there were about 2 or 3 people who wrote stories about Jackson finding redemption and Lisa finding peace. It's sad that those fics were rare :(.
2) You know what else sucked? The fact that we had almost no stories about Joe, Cynthia or Rebbecca.
3) Okay, this is neither popular nor an opinion but it bugged me when people thought Jackson/Lisa shippers were stupid people. Is the pairing fucked up? Yes. Is Red Eye a piece of fiction? No kidding.
Supernatural:
1) Okay, so I've always wondered how a religious person would feel once they step into the fandom. Supernatural fandom has a variety of good fics but when it comes to paring!fics, these are generally your options:
Dean/Sam incest featuring heavy S&M and watersports
Dean/Castiel featuring auto erotic asphyxiation and public!sex
Sam/Ruby or Sam/Jess featuring enema, pegging and bloodplay
So, why do I sometimes read incest and not heresy or het because I obviously find het appealing? Is it because I think that incest is better than heresy? Those are the questions that only my potential shrink would know the answer to.
2) The SPN fandom has 3 or 4 fics where the Dean/Sam pairing is handled well. See
trollprincess's I'm not touching you and other annoying games that little brothers play and
esorlehcar's Down to the end verse. I have to review those fics one of these days ...
3) It's weird when people talk about sunshine coming out of the behinds of BNFs.
4) Sam/Jo is a fantastic pairing that had a lot of potential.
5) This fandom made me realize that I don't really like porn. 99.55 of the time when I read an NC-17 fic, I skip over the naughty parts because I'm a wuss. I'm not saying that sex is real life is always meaningful or whatever but porn in fanfic makes the characters appear soulless and interchangeable. :(. One of the very few fic that I have read that made sex meaningful was
erinya's 'Drink Red Wine and be Merry'.
Next post, Mentalist and House.
