I'm feeling a strong urge to kick Locke's freakin ass.
I mean, I know it's the baby and all, but everyone on that island has screwed up a hell of a lot more than Charlie did, setting a fire to try and get close to Aaron. Locke accidentally caused Boone's death, and Kate killed her step-father, but they have no sympathy for Charlie's screw-ups?
And I know Locke thinks he can solve the world's problems, but punching someone is not how you deal with drug addiction. Really, Charlie's spiral is partly Locke et all's fault. The guy's got no access to rehab, and even if he isn't using, he's gonna have issues and struggles, but knowing he's in danger of sliding, no one offers to talk to him about his addiction or help him at all. And Locke knows about the plane, but rather than burn the drugs himself, or try and talk to Charlie when's he's got to be feeling obvious temptation, he just let him fall.
The thing is, it seems as if everyone on the island either forgot about Charlie's addiction or expected him to get over it quick lickity split. Surprise! Not the way it works guys.
