Norwescon 32 is officially over.....
Thank all the gods that be! I survived!
It was very stressful to be the Head of the Staff Support Department at Norwescon for the first time. I had some kinks with my staff, but it all worked out well. I didn't get to any of the panels, didn't see the art show, or get to do much in general. I did get to the Crypticon party as well as the Merchants of Diva party: which made me a happy girl.
Mostly, in Staff Support, we got things out relatively on time, people liked the food and the variety (especially people with dietary restrictions or allergies....), they were happy that deliveries were made frequently and there was diabetics taken into account, and they loved the little chinese take out boxes that we put little snack packs into.....
The bad things....I think I went about $100 overbudget. I wouldn't if I had been able to do shopping earlier before the con, but that was actually no one's particular fault. We ran quickly out of soda and water which is kind of odd and we didn't go through as much coffee as I have seen in the past. Cup o Noodles will be on my list of things to buy for Volunteer lounge next year though....
