...the gardening bug that is. I have planted my vegetable garden: pole beans, sugar snap peas, carrots, lettuce, green peppers, red peppers, orange peppers, yellow peppers, cherry tomatoes, roma tomatoes, beefsteak tomatoes, cucumbers and corn. I have also planted my herb garden with rosemary, sage, dill, chives, curly parsley, spearmint, peppermint, chamomile, and a few others that I forget at the moment. We've put in the pumpkin patch with some of the big pie pumpkins and some of the cute little ones. We planted some birdhouse gourds, too. That should be fun! I got one of those nifty wood burning tools as a gift and am looking forward to creating some nice birdhouses.
Let's see, what else... OH, made a small Hosta bed with three hostas. I was at BiMart today and just HAD to walk through the plants. Wouldn't you know it, some plants just jumped into my cart! So tomorrow we will be creating a "lavendar bed". I got 6 different types of lavendar. The bed will be put next to a little sitting area that we created. Just imagine: its evening and your sitting in a nice adirondack chair, sipping (insert beverage of choice here), watching the birds at the feeders, listening to the birds/frogs/cricketts and the scent of lavendar wafting through the air. I believe that will be where I spend many an evening.
Well, I better be off to bed. It's supposed to be in the upper 90s tomorrow so we need to get started early.
