Summa Time Anthem
hellloooo...
it has been a while, i know. I guess i have been putting off writing in this thing, not to mention the tons of work my english teacher has given me over the summer. Summer has come to an end and i think it is safe to say that i feel it wasnt a very fun summer. Although it was hot hot hot and more hot each day, i spent most of my days slaving away at work. Yeah, i went to the beach once, and went swimming with my parents a few times but they were all very short trips due to work. 4th of July was alright... hung out and swam and barbequed and stufff, but i was pretty disappointed because i did not get to see fireworks! haha well, thats okay.. maybe next year.
With that being said, i dont want to sit here and wallow in self pity and feel sorry for myself that im not out having fun and partying hard and getting drunk and going to the beach every day. INSTEAD i want to talk about all of my accomplishments!
First thing is first.. in the beginning of the summer i had some disappointing news from my boss (from the job in long beach) My boss is somewhat old, NOT senile.. but just old, they do things differently and say things and they are just plain old. So.... they had this long talk with me telling me all this stuff that i do and dont do.. and blah blah blah, and i cried and i was really sad coz they put me on probation! a 30-day probation. The reason i cried and i felt that this was all unfair is because I really did feel dedicated to this job (even though i dont like it much) but i take it seriously and i try to make the best of the situation... anyways.. 30 days went by and i tried hard to show up on time everyday (extra on time) and i tried really hard to just be a good employee. well, all of that paid off in the end coz yay, i am no longer on probation and ALTHOUGH i didnt get the raise that i was promised when i first started this job, i get to actually keep this job. WOOOfreakinHOO. =) but no really, im happy about that.
At in n out i finally got another raise. yay, i was really excited and happy when i got that raise coz i felt that i worked really hard for it, and it was deserved. Just like everyone else who gets their raises lol. But anyways its cool because now i can work to get my level 5 raise, which is harder. So im praying that i will be able to master it and get the raise quickly.. haha.
School is fine, i went to school for the second 6-week session and i took English 100, since i DROPPED it last sem! -_- But the good thing is i passsed that class and i wont have to take it for a 3rd time. Thank god because that class was pretty intense.. i stayed up all night finishing my last essay, and my friends helped me out a lot trying to edit it and stuff. so im glad i passed =) i just dont know my grade yet!!
ALSO, i am almost done with my prereqs at cerritos college! i am going to be done sooner than i thought! yay, i wont be a 7 year junior college student (not that its a bad thing, but i wanted to finish fast) YEAH, so i only need 1 more class (which is P.E.) to get my AA, and like maybe... 4-5 classes to transfer! well, im not sure yet because i believe if i want to go to Biola there are more classes i might need to take.. i need to talk to a counselor but for a cal state i only need a couple classes and i can transfer.
sooo yeah, even though i didnt have the best summer of my life, i stayed focused on the more important things (well atleast the things that are important RIGHT now). =) and the pay off is great!
Im a little tired now so i think this concludes my entry for tonight.
