Downtown Abbey Season 1
I've been watching the episodes of Downtown Abbey from PBS Masterpiece. I've enjoyed it. I love the contrasts of the old ways versus the new, the master versus the servant, rich versus middle class versus lower class and the romantic aspects of the story. It's not technically a romance, more of an everyday viewpoint of an English estate interspersed with several stories, a couple of which are romantic in nature. Season 1 starts from the sinking of the Titanic and ends with the start of WWI. Actually, the story doesn't really end, you get left hanging for Season 2.... (Is that a spoiler?) Anyway, I highly recommend this series and love the English doppelganger of John Krasinski or should I say Jim Halpert?.... (o_o)
