Hooray! First Journal!
Though I wish I had the ability to edit it further, but I don't so I won't dwell. I think for this first post I shall type a little about me.
My name is Lindzi, and I am spelt differently, as our customers so often point out (I work at a Coles). Although I don't actually have a proper name badge and am called 'Jodie' but maybe I should be thankful - less people commenting on my name.
On another note, I will turn 18 this year though I am not sure this is a blessing or a curse. Luckily I will have my childish spirit and Lolita-ness to keep me feeling young! Not that 18 is old it's just so increddibly adult-like. Kind of freaky. I'll also have never had an illegal drink as well, and I don't think I'll feel the need to have one immediately after or on my birthday - though numerous people insist on getting me drunk, I don't really want to.
I am also, an Australian. A South Western Australian (I live in South Australia and have done so for the past almost four years however I consider myself to be a Western Australian still, particularly with some of the queer lingo of SA). I've also adopted Japan as my second home. We've had numerous students stay with us through the exchange programme with our sister school and this year I will be going in September for the second time. Last time I was able to stay with the family of one of our host students. I had so much fun and it was absolutly awesome to meet all the new people and re-aquaint with my old friends.
Not to mention Disney Land! We'll get to stay longer at the school this time, which I am really looking foward too. That and this time three of my friends will be coming as well. Which will be absolutly grand.
As for what else I like to do I absolutly love CLAMP but I only have few volumes of Tsubasa and Chobits, all my money has been saving for Japan. After which I want to save for a Bluefairy Emilie. Somewhere in there I'll be budgeting for a new wardrobe and a nice tea set. Right now I am putting together a book of recipes and other pieces to make a book on A Lolita Tea Party - one of which I hope to host in the near future. Of course that will involve cleaning the house but that will have to come after cleaning my room.
Which brings me to another point. I love to bake and cook. Unfortunately our kitchen is miniscule and I have no bench space especially when I haven't been able to do the dishes - there isnt actually space on or in the sink for dishes, the kitchen in my opinion was horribly planned. But never-the-less I think I am doing best in Food and Hospitality at school and once I have actually finished and begun drafting my first Art Practical and Theory work that grade will pick up too.
I'm in my last year of school, year 12. FInally top of the school and constantly reminded of it, through little fault of my own. We have our formal coming up in August which I am really excited about as I'll be making my dress. It is pink, has a princess line bodice and a puffy three layer skirt thats short at the front and long in the back. I'm sitll undecided about my hair, sometimes I just want to chop it all off and other times I want to grow it some more and get it curled. Unfortunately its been blonde and it probably wouldn't hold out against anything as extreme as a perm.
Well that's quite a lot about me. It just occured to me that my layout has a cat and my mood pixels are mice.
My GothLoli friend has invited me to a Lolita meet in Adelaide sometimes soon. I'm a little worried about going, I might look very stupid >.< but hopefully if I can find a pink low cut knit vest ot go over my very romantic poet pirate style shirt then I may be able to pull off a convincing casual lolita. At least I'll have my beloved cherry TUK's, they're the white ones. Well we'll see how it goes.
