"They were never that far apart"

Oct 30, 2005 21:46

We were "ring around the rosie" children

There were circles around the sun

They would never give up

Never slow down

Never grown old

Never ever die young

Say goodnight with the evening moon

Even with the evening stars

They were true love written in the stone

They were never alone

They were never that far apart

And we who couldn't better believe they might make it

We've got to close our eyes

Cut up the losses and the do-able doses

And ration our tears and sighes

You can see them on the street on a starry night

Everyone used to run them down

They're a little too sweet

They're a little too tight

Not enough tough for this town

Couldn't touch them with a ten foot pole

No, it didn't rattle at all

They were glued together, body and soul

That much more with their backs up against the wall

Posted this about two months ago...was orginally a song of love and strength...

Now its just a song of the past...

I really just hope that we can all hold it together...I dont want the crew to fall apart. We were so close and I dont want to lose that. I already lost Dan. I cant even get him to talk to me. Its been over a month now...I think its time we stopped behaving like children and spoke up.

What happened to the summer of 2005?
