So here it is folks.
That singularly unique idea. Or at least one of them. It isn’t enough that I be in awe of the
story-telling abilities that
Howard Tayler possesses and the humility with which he wields them. No. God feels I need to be smacked upside the back of the head several times to let me know how I’ve wasted my life so far (all almost twenty years of it).
This newest webcomic that I’ve found has the most novel concept I’ve ever seen. Ever. It tells of a simple man from Earth who has crash-landed himself into a fantasy world, Arr Kelaan. He finds that he now possesses the powers of a God, along with assorted Earthlings who also survived. And as the others are corrupted and seduced by their new powers, he generally doesn’t care. The God of Apathy who will give anyone what they want so long as they leave him alone. And what’s worse? The concept is so amazingly well-executed that it breaks my heart. I can’t even imagine any ways in which it could be improved. None whatsoever. It’s bad enough when I find an idea so out of the box that I wish it had been mine, but when I can’t even modify it to create something unique...
Well the only recourse that’s left to me is to recommend to all three of you who read my ramblings here, that you visit these two works of art. Upon arriving on the website, find a button that says “First.” Click and prepare to find yourselves immersed in two of the most amazing worlds ever to grace the internet. Go ahead, click. I dare you.
P.S. I was going to change the song, in all honesty. But when faced with how perfectly it jived with the Gods of Arr Kelaan story, I couldn't bring myself to do it... Again, justifying myself in a readerless blog. I must be losing my mind.
