Dilemma
Well, as most of you know, I'm currently juggling in between work and studing at the same time. One of the main reason I've been M.I.A. from vana'diel ever since December and of cos lack of updates here. I wonder how many of you peeps actually still read this half dead journal.

Well, I've been working in this same place(aircraft techician) for 8 years now and still have 2 years left in my contract. This job have a decent pay and somehow I'm too used to the working environment already. I actually have a diploma in Mechanical Engineering which I acquired almost 10 years ago which explain why I'm in the aviation industry. But even since I returned back to Singapore after my 2 years deployment in France in mid 2005, I found that I'm already losing my passion working in this very place. I'm surprised that I kept this going for 3 years straight. Everyday I'm just working for the sake of working, fufilling my duty and collecting my pay on the 10th every month. I knew that the current job isn't suitable for me and isn't what I actually wanted.
As of Aug last year, I took up diploma in Digital Media as a part-time course in the night. You know, things like 2D or 3D animation, learning how to do storyboarding, learning how to film a movie, advanced programming language etc. Those are taught in the courses and I have till April next year before I graduate. Been wanting to know how animations are made as I've been quite crazy about animes, CG in games etc. And wow I am quite fascinated by what I've learned so far. Ever since I am enjoying my night classes even tho it's damn tiring after like 10 hrs of work. Since then I had been thinking of pursuing a degree in either IT or the digital media industries after I obtained this current diploma.
But if I stayed on this current job, there's no way I could continue to pursue my degree as a part-time student. There have been some major changes going on at work and manpower wise, it will continue to be thinner while the workload increases. There is no way I could continue with my selfish request at working in the morning shift only and having one of my colleague covering me in the night shift.
Been wondering if I should quit my current job with 2 years left in my contract. I already completed the minimum term of engagement in the contract and I'm free to go anytime but I'll will lose a lump sum of cash which I'll get if I finish my contract. If I decide to forfeit the contract, I will be able to complete my degree 2 years earlier and pursue what I really interested in doing. One other reason is that my age now is 29, there isn't much time to think as I'm going to be 30 next year. This had been going on in my mind for a long time and up till now, I still cannot decide what I want to do. Seriously, it sucks to be stuck in such a situation.
Advice anyone?
