1: Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, find line 4. Write down what it says: "...the seven champions; and Polynieces, to save further slaughter, offered..."
2: Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. What do you touch first?: My music bookshelf.
3: What is the last thing you watched on TV? The Pulp-Fictioney episode of the Simpsons. He he he.
4: WITHOUT LOOKING, guess what time it is: 9.45
5: Now look at the clock, what is the actual time?: 9.47
6: With the exception of the computer, what can you hear?: The TV in the other room.
7: When did you last step outside?: When I helped my mum carry in shopping before.
8: Before you came to this website, what did you look at?: Other old LJ archives.
9: What are you wearing?: My beautiful antique, embroidered silk (I know Emmy, but it was a gift and it's antique) kimono, which finally has an obi!
10: Did you dream last night?: Yes. I love dreaming. Sometimes I go through periods when I live my life from dream to dream, hazing through the days just waiting to sleep and relish in dreaming. It's probably a control freak thing- I'm a lucid dreamer, and in my dreams, when I so choose, everything is as I want it and everything is perfect.
11: When did you last laugh?: At the waning moon as I walked home. I often laugh randomly for pure joy.
12: What is on the walls of the room you are in?: One of my mum's fabulous paintings. There are many of them around our house. It makes me sad that she gave up painting to get a job and raise her children when she was obviously extremely talented, but she says that we are her greatest accomplishment. I don't think I'm worthy of that honour.
13: Seen anything weird lately?: I'm a little too internally serene to think things are really weird.
14: What do you think of this quiz?: Meh, it's a quiz.
15: What is the last film you saw?: I can't really remember... no, wait, it was the Fellowship of the Ring. Again.
16: If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy first?: A house for my mum, a motorbike for me, and the rest would go to charity. After I brought some clothes, that is.
17: Tell me something about you that I don't know: You may not know I used to be bulimic. But I still have control issues, and I have just replaced making myself throw up with cutting myself, and other interesting pastimes. Not because I'm suicidal or even depressed, mind you. Just because I like to know I can.
18: If you could change one thing about the world, regardless of guilt or politics, what would you do? I would wipe out the human species (including myself). It seems to be the only viable solution. Let the world start over.
19: Do you like to dance?: I can't dance, but I do. Only when I'm on my own, mind you.
20: George Bush: It's depressing that people can make a complete idiot the most powerful person in the world, but then I guess they've done it before in many monarchies.
21: Imagine your first child is a girl, what do you call her?: Akasha
21: Imagine your first child is a boy, what do you call him?: Joaquin
22: Would you ever consider living abroad?: In New Zealand, yes. Low population, lack of real interest in world politics, much wilderness. Perfect.
So, I'm just going to rant. Really don't bother to read this. I just need a space to work out my own thoughts. Alex and I were having a discussion about... well, random things. And I just wanted to try to figure out exactly who I am working towards being, seeing as my goal in life is to be the best person I can be, to my own estimation of best. So what do I consider the best person I could possibly be to be. But perhaps that is a job best left for when I have more time. As it is, I am putting off my drama work, which I shouldn't be. But I'm just feeling so lazy, and drama is something that I can only do when I am up to a challenge. I don't know, maybe I should make myself.
I have betrayed my own personal dreadful composition because I was too lazy to compose something specifically for Music Performance. It may have been bad, but it was MINE. Now it's just school work.
I saw Agrippa's three volumes of occult philosophy in Border's today, as well as several Alesteir Crowley books and a book about the rituals of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. It was a little surreal to see what has for ages been jealously guarded knowledge that one had to prove one's worth to earn on sale to any old person who may go home and do some awful things to themselves and their lives by accident. Ceremonial magick is dangerous. But I don't suppose anyone who would be reading this really gives a crap about the Hermetic Order of the Golden Damn, so I'll just shut up.
By the way, I love Joaquin Pheonix. Not only is he my second favourite actor, with a really cool name, and all political, I also just found out HE'S VEGAN! How cool is that? Well, I think so, anyway.
I feel quite down right now, and I don't really know why. I have no reason to, I just feel randomly depressed.
But I'll stop whinging now and leave you to your no doubt fascinating lives.
Love and kisses,
Bec
