Don't Disturb the Chickens!
I am SO mad at myself right now. Well, not really mad just irritated. I went out to see if we had any eggs. I didn't look around to see who was missing and potentially still inside, just assumed it was probably no one or Henrietta. I lifted up the nesting box lid and sure enough, Henrietta is all settled in her favorite box. I was talking to her and asking when she thought she was going to be done, then Star jumped up into the top level like she always does. She is such an inquisitive thing. Anyway, so I was talking to Star and I was like, oh, I should check the other nesting box. Peeked my head around the corner and went AHHH!! Princess was in there and freaked out when I peeked in which scared the crap out of me. So we probably WERE going to get a Princess egg and now that we scared the crap out of each other we probably won't. *sigh* Note to self, don't assume the nesting box around the corner is empty. Poor chicken. She needs to take a chill pill. She is the only one who still runs away from us and won't even come close to letting us touch her. I hope she never gets hurt and I have to catch her because that is going to be terrible.
