So, I come back in two days and want to do a combination of SMC classes and an internship with a designer. The problem is is that, with the designer, besides being the usual unpaid, he doesn't reimburse for milage and I think there will be a lot of errand running in my too big of a car all around Los Angeles. I've been saying that I would work for free (internship) if its someone I really like and could get a lot out of. I am not however interested in working for free and also paying for own gas and driving expenses for someone else's benefit. The thing is, I really want to do it because I have been dying to learn from an inside perspective (business running, starting up, how to go about the basics, etc.). So, what to do. I need to take 3 classes at SMC before I can begin to transfer into USC. Should I forget the designer and just focus on school so I can do USC asap? Advice, thoughts?
