I should really stop buying fish that I know are likely to spontaneously die for no discernible reason.
This happened with Rosencrantz. At the time, Guildenstern already looked like he was fully capable of punching bitches in the face despite having no hands. Rosencrantz looked thin and somewhat sluggish but was just so damned pretty and the only one who had his particular red and white patterning that I couldn't help adopting him too. I thought I could save him! He fattened up a bit after I freed him from the evil clutches of Walmart.
But then, alas, he started getting listless one day. And within the next day or so he was dead.
I've been eyeing Joker!Fish with a sense of dread. His body shape also set off all my, "NO THAT'S NOT A GENETICALLY HEALTHY FISH!" sensors when we saw him at the aquarium, but goddammit I wanted a Joker!Fish because they looked so happy and he has the cutest cow spots and when I brought him home he really was quite happy and quite smart for a fish. However, once again I am being proven that I NEED TO LISTEN TO MY FISH SENSES. He's been getting thin and not eating properly for a while and now he's starting to go into the hopeless floating-with-the-current point of no return.
Please forgive me if I make another post within the next few days about how I'm sobbing over my dead goldfish again. /o\
omg this isn't happening,
twiggy fails at life,
